Abstract

AbstractThe paper deals with the issues of information security in the water transport industry. Examples of recent known cyberattacks are given, a classification is compiled based on the separation and separate consideration of the objects of attacks (including not only networks and servers, but also ship equipment, navigation systems, etc.), taking into account the peculiarities of their functioning. For clarity and understanding of the scale of the attacks, the approximate calculated values of the losses that the attacks brought are given. The level of cybercrime is growing every year, while the modern information security system for water transport is just beginning to develop. At the moment, it does not yet have a sufficient level of security of information resources. In conclusion, the authors note that in order to increase the level of cybersecurity, it is important to classify attacks by characteristic differences, which will help in the future to find the most effective solution for each type.
