Abstract
The winterhardiness or plant cell impedance versus frequency curve at the output of a telemetry data acquisition system follows a non-linear relationship, where the measure of winterhartlinosa is inversely proportional to the signal frequency. At the output of the acquisition system a fixed frequency (F) appears which represents the impedance of a fixed resistor limiting the current to the plant cell, A digital subtracter is used to eliminate F. The binary output of the subtracter is converted to analogue form by a resistive weighing system connected to an operational amplifier, connected as a summer. The output of the summer represents the digital output within acceptable limits.
