Abstract
This paper addresses the formation of information skills necessary for academic and research work of students and teachers, and shall establish the conceptual theoretical aspects related to the formation of information skills through a distance learning course affiliated to the developer education, is a study of these and assumed as such [1]: knowing when and why you need information, where to find it, and how to evaluate, use and communicate it in an ethical manner. We compared the instructional components of the current course of User Education High Polytechnic Institute Jose Antonio Echeverria with 20 different countries from which we obtained the didactic elements (objectives and themes) more current, which together with the results the diagnosis made to allowed freshmen devise analytical Course program Informational Skills for freshmen Industrial Engineering from contemporary educational ideas and the use of Information Technology and Communications.
