Abstract
Objective To summarize and analyze the risk factors, clinical manifestation, and treatment of pulmonary thromboembolism (PTE), improve the level of the diagnosis and treatment of PTE in primary hospitals. Methods A total of 195 678 hospitalized patients in ningguo people's hospital for nearly 10 years were searched, only seven cases were first diagnosed as PTE, and three cases were combined with PTE. The clinical data of the ten patients were retrospectively analyzed and summarized. Results Among ten cases, three cases were diagnosed by CTPA in the department of respiratory medicine in our hospital in 2013 ,six cases were uncertainly diagnosed in the department of respiratory medicine and then transferred to the superior hospital in 2011 and 2012, one case was uncertainly diagnosed in the department of orthopaedics, died and then diagnosed by autopsy in 2011. Ten patients had the risk factors of PTE, lacking of specificity of clinical characteristics. Because of disregard and restriction of the diagnostic technique in primary hospitals, the rate of diagnosis was very low. Nearly one year with the introduction of D-dimer detection technology and the development of spiral CT, the level of diagnosis improved, and after anticoagulation the embolus significantly absorpted. Conclusions Due to various limitations in our country, the current status of diagnosis and treatment of PTE in primary hospitals is not ideal, we can only strengthen our professional technology to make up the inadequacy of hardware and reduce the rate of misdiagnosis and mortality.
