Abstract
• Chronic patellar tendinopathies are common and difficult to treat. • Patients that didnot respond to conventional treatment often require surgical procedures. • Extracorporeal Shockwave Treatments ESWT have good results in treating chronic tendinopathies. • We present the current knowledge on shockwave treatments for chronic patellar tendinopathies. • We recommend the use of ESWT in chronic patellar tendinopathies.
