Abstract

Objective To explore the curative effects of propofol combined with small dose dexmedetomidine used for anesthesia of painless abortion surgery. Methods One hundred patients receiving painless abortion surgery from February 2015 to December 2015 were selected and randomly divided into the observation group and the control group. Fifty cases in each group. Patients in the observation group were firstly intravenous pumping injected with small dose dexmedetomidine before anesthesia, and then propofol was used for intravenous anesthesia. Patients in the control group only used propofol for intravenous anesthesia. The anesthesia effects, propofol consumption, awake time, epigastric pain, injection pain, as well as respiratory depression, bradycardia, hypotension during the anesthesia were observed between the two groups. Results The anesthetic effect of the patients in observation group was better than that in control group, and the incidence rate of injection pain in the observation group was lower than that in control group, the differences between the two groups were statistically significant (P 0.05). Conclusions The anesthetic effects of propofol combined with small dose dexmedetomidine used for anesthesia of painless abortion surgery are definite, and the occurrence rates of postoperative adverse reactions such as epigastric pain, injection pain, and respiratory depression are low. It’s worthwhile to further its application. Key words: Dexmedetomidine; Propofol; Painless abortion surgery
