Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical effect of drug sealed in pulp hole in treatment for acute pulpitis. Methods 160 cases of acute pulpitis from January 2011 to January 2012 were randomly divided into observation group and control group. The observation group was treated by drug sealed in pulp hole while the control group was treated by opening the chamber drainage, the situation of pain relief and the total time were compared in two groups. Results 24 hours of pain relief rate in observation group was 94.35% which was significantly higher than that in control group (72.81%) (P〈 0.05), and the total treatment time in observation group was significantly lower than that in control group (P〈 0.05). Conclusion The clinical effects of drug sealed in pulp hole in treatment for acute pulpitis can relief pain timely and effectively, shorten the total treatment time, which is worthy for clinical application.
