Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical effect of comprehensive treatment of periodontal endodontics on retrograde pulpitis. Methods Eighty-four cases of retrograde pulpitis in the Central Hospital of Yuncheng from October 2016 to January 2018 were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, with 42 cases in each group. The control group was treated with root canal sealing, and the observation group was treated with periodontal pulp comprehensive treatment. The levels of inflammatory factors, the scores of looseness, the scores of pain and the incidences of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The levels of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) and interleukin-2 (IL-2) in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P 0.05). Conclusions The comprehensive treatment of periodontal endodonti can effectively reduce the inflammatory response of the patients with retrograde pulpitis, reduce the degree of tooth loosening and the degree of pain, without increasing the adverse reaction. Key words: Retrograde pulpitis; Comprehensive treatment of periodontal endodontic; Looseness; Inflammatory factors
