Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical curative effect of glucocorticoid on patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(AECOPD) aggravating period. Methods Sixty AECOPD patients in Yantai Affiliated Hospital of Binzhou Medical University from May 2014 to May 2016 were selected and randomly divided into control group and observation group (n=30). All patients in control group were treated with terbutaline, and patients in the observation group were treated with glucocorticoid on the basis of the control group, the symptoms of the patients were examined before treatment, and the arterial blood gas parameters and clinical effects of the two groups were observed. Results After treatment, the total effective rate in patients of observation group was 93.3%, which is significantly higher than that of control group (73.3%, P<0.05). And oxygen saturation, oxygen tension, partial pressure of carbon dioxide and pH value, such as arterial blood gas index in observation group were significantly better than that of control group (P<0.05). Conclusions Application of glucocorticoid in the clinical treatment of AECOPD patients aggravating stage, can effectively improve the patient′s artery blood gas index, the clinical curative effect is distinct, worthy of promotion. Key words: Acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; Glucocorticoid; Terbutaline
