Abstract

Objectives To explore the clinical efficacy and nursing care of 5-aminolevulinic acidphotodynamic therapy (ALA-PDT) combined with high-frequency flectrofulguration for basal cell carcinoma (BCC).Methods 40 patients received ALA-PDT and high-frequency electrofulguration basing on individual lesion.They all received good nursing care and guidance.The completely remitted patients were followed up for 6 months.Results After 5-15 times of treatment and good nursing care,31 patients (77.5%) got complete remission,4 (10.0%) partial remission,and 5 (12.5%) invalid.The total effective rate was 87.5%.29 patients (72.5%) were satisfied with the cosmetic results,4 (10.0%) moderately satisfied,and 7 (17.5%) dissatisfied.6 months followed-up showed that 4 patients(12.9%) recurred in the 31 complete remission patients.No patient got infection.No one' s wound healed poorly.Conclusions ALA-PDT combined with high-frequency electrofulguration in the treatment of BCC is quite effective.Coupled with good nursing measures,it can improve the therapeutic effect and increase the patients' satisfaction with treatment.
