Abstract

Theoretical expressions for the cumulative function of the Bijvoet ratio is worked out for a non-centrosymmetric crystal containing anomalous scatterers of the same type, as well as a large number of normal scatterers. Three cases corresponding to the number of anomalous scatterers in the unit cell being 1 and many (MN and MC cases) are considered. The theoretical results are used to obtain the percentage of reflexions for which the value of the Bijvoet ratio is greater than the specific values 0.1, 0.2 . . . , 0.6 corresponding to various values of the parameters k and σ21 characterizing the anomalous scatterers.
