Abstract

The article highlights the issues of the linguocultural approach to the study of the lexical features of Kazakh and Russian languages. Language, being a mirror reflection of the mentality of the people, has a unique ability to capture and preserve cultural and historical information. It also acts as the main form of storing knowledge about the culture of the people, the phenomena of traditional and modern life, customs that reflect the national identity of spiritual and material culture. Ethnic diversity, national stereotypes of self-identification and perception of another culture are preserved and manifested in the language of native speakers and makes it possible to compare linguocultural codes and perceive them through the prism of the language of wisdom of a particular society
