Abstract
The Cultural and Creative Industries (CCI), which manifest the global cultural economy, have shown to be excellent catalysts for innovation, economic growth, and socio-cultural change. Cultural Entrepreneurship (CE) is a relatively new field of study in management and cultural studies. However, despite a recent resurgence in interest, CE may be seen as something other than a novel subject. Entrepreneurial ecosystems in the CCI and the arts are well explored in the previous literature for fostering innovation and economic growth over recent decades. Entrepreneurs׳ traits and driving factors, business models, information and communication technologies integration, urban growth dynamics, public policy implications, and the role of entrepreneurial education have been extensively explored. However, the prospect has been revived in response to a drastically shifting context by the recent burgeoning interest in CE in professional debates, cultural policy focus, and academic research.
