Abstract

AbstractWhat can be learned from astronomy in culture is examined and the importance of including such research as a part of certain studies is emphasized. A primary goal is to help scholars to learn more about the research of astronomy in culture with the objective of increasing the numbers of those engaged with this in strong research and publication. An important aspect of research is the potential use of astronomy in the examination of any culture. Educational opportunities are presented that can enable scholars to add related research knowledge that will enable them to augment their studies in this pursuit. Such educational initiatives will greatly strengthen this research in the future and will facilitate significant advancements in what we know about the astronomy of ancient and indigenous cultures worldwide.
