Abstract
Introduction: Cardiac computed tomography (CT) permits quantification of coronary calcification and - after contrast enhancement - detection of non-calcified components of coronary atherosclerosis. Coronary calcium score is a well-established marker for risk prediction in asymptomatic individuals and the prognostic value of zero Agatston score has been repeatedly reported. Coronary contrast enhancement is necessary in clarification of symptomatic patients referred for CT coronary angiography (CTA). We report indications, findings and downstream recommendation in patients with zero Agatston score enrolled in a cardiac CT registry.
