Abstract
The advantage of constructing industrial buildings using prefabricated elements, sandwich panel walls and roofs leads to an ease of construction. The junction between the wall and roof needs to be detailed in such a way as to seal connections in a manner which is waterproof, thermally balanced, and last of all not susceptible to damage by vapour ingress. The latter is often overlooked: this article describes methods that should be applied to satisfy air floor and vapour barrier installation.
