Abstract

Crystal structure of iodine doped fluoro-aluminum phthalocyanine polymer (AlPcF), as well as pristine AlPcF, is studied by powder X-ray diffraction analysis. The pristine AlPcF forms a body-centered tetragonal lattice with a = b = 25.634 ± 0.020 A ̊ and c= 3.722 ± 0.006 A ̊ , in which the phthalocyanine (Pc) rings are eclipsed. In a stable doping state called State II, the doping is inhomogeneous, and two distinct phases, doped and disdoped phases, coexist. The 3D-antiferromagnetic phase (AlPcF-I 1) in State II forms a simple tetragonal lattice with a=b=13.916 ± 0.025 A ̊ and c=7.094 ± 0.026 A ̊ , in which the Pc rings are staggered by 44°.
