Abstract

Lithium orthophosphates LiMn0.9Cu0.1PO4 were successfully synthesised using a solid-state reaction method and characterised by X-ray powder diffraction and magnetic susceptibility measurement. Structure refinements against powder diffraction data were conducted in the orthorhombic space group no. 62, that is, Pnma. Magnetic susceptibility measurements showed that LiMn0.9Cu0.1PO4 undergo long-range antiferromagnetic ordering and antiferromagnetic, AFM at low temperature. Cu2+ doped in Mn sites resulted in the Neel temperature, TN = 34 K.
