Abstract

Abstract There is a difference of the work hardening behavior of interstitial free (IF) steel between uniaxial and biaxial deformation, which is called anisotropic hardening. Previous researches show that anisotropic hardening is caused by texture, dislocation cell structure and others, but the details are unknown. Therefore, in this research, a crystal plastic finite element method is used and its physical mechanism is discussed. Results of the calculation indicate the possibility that latent hardening is a factor of anisotropic hardening.
