Abstract

Antimony thiourea bromide (ATB) single crystals were grown in sodium meta silicate gel at ambient temperature. The conditions of the growth of large ATB single crystals in gel were obtained. The morphology of the crystals was indexed. The grown crystals were characterized by chemical analysis, EDX, X-ray diffraction and IR techniques. ATB crystallizes in the orthorhombic system with space group Cmc2 1 . The dielectric constant and refractive indices of the ATB single crystals were determined.
