A new concept of a cold actuator chamber is realized to avoid using cumbersome high-pressure helium gas cylinders in space for the cold valves in AMS-2 project [Cryogenic system for a large superconducting magnet in space, Part IV, alloy]. A good repeatability was shown in the first experiment with the cold valve opened and closed.
