Abstract

The importance of peace in ensuring economic development should not be underestimated. The precondition of peace makes it possible to focus on improving the business environment, developing education and healthcare, creating stable communities, attracting investment and a number of other key issues. All of these factors, underscore the resonance of the word “peace” in our reality. In the political field of Armenia, a new idea has recently been introduced at the highest level – the “Crossroads of the Peace”, which is a logical continuation of the “era of peace” periodically voiced before. While the project “Crossroads of the Peace” has not received a more substantive form than a discussion and “brochure”, this paper has attempted to present its main meaning, as well as optimistic and pessimistic scenarios in the case of the project.
