Abstract

Recent reports (1,2,3) have indicated that the Holland strain of infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) provides a wider range of protection against particular variant strains of IBV found in the United States than do currently used vaccines. A vaccine that would induce protection against a broad spectrum of these variants would be of considerable economic importance. This study was done to determine the ability of a Holland strain (Noblis H-52) of IBV to induce protection against challenge with eight different isolates of IBV.
