Abstract

Subject. We consider the development of the public-private partnership system in Russia and foreign countries. Objectives. The purpose is to review effective models of public-private partnership that are widespread abroad, to assess the prospects for their implementation in Russia. Methods. The study employs methods of institutional and statistical analysis. Results. The study unveils a reference group of countries (Canada, France, Japan, the Republic of Korea), where successful institutional development of public-private partnership requires detailed study; formulates proposals to support public-private partnership in Russia at the national and regional levels. Conclusions. Success in the interaction of the public and commercial sectors in Russia depends on the development of by-laws for individual industries, in which projects are implemented on the basis of public-private partnership.
