Abstract

Despite the publication of various conceptual criticisms and suggested modifications in response to the human sexual response cycle described in the Masters and Johnson 1966 book, Human Sexual Response, incorrect or unexplained aspects of their reports on specific mechanisms involved in the sexual arousal process have been left uncorrected or undiscussed. The present article examines a number of these and proposes corrections or modifications to rectify the faults and omissions.
