Abstract
Critical distance R cr for the spontaneous positron creation in heavy-ion collisions, is calculated precisely for point-like like nuclei with 85 ⩽ Z ⩽ 126. For example, in case of U-U collision R cr = 38.4 fm. Rapid convergence of the method is clearly demonstrated.
