Abstract

CRISPR Cas is a genome editing tool, that has the potential to revolutionize the medical world. As a cheap and simple alternative to other gene editing technologies, it has grabbed scientists attention and is being actively studied. Its uses range from the removal of disorders caused by genetic mutations to developing rapid diagnostic tests. As well as a potential cure for cancer.This paper aims to understand CRISPRs potential along with the challenges it may face while providing a brief explanation of its mechanism.
