Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present a theoretical model describing the creep damage for a multi-axial state of stress. The creep rupture criterion proposed consists of the damage evolution equation and the failure criterion for material with deteriorated structure. The emphasis is given to the solution of the damage evolution equation formulated for the tri-axial state of stress in the form of a differential equation. The possible application of the equations derived is shown by using the results of the tests performed on the tubular specimens subjected to an internal pressure and axial load where a pronounced tri-axial state of stress is produced.
