Abstract

This article highlights the philosophical reflection of artistic parallels in the creative works of writers of modern Russian literature – V.V. Kilyakov and V.G. Rasputin by the example of selected works. The tory "Farewell to Matyora" by V.G. Rasputin and the story "Restless" by V.V. Kilyakov vividly express the concept of confrontation of epochs when comparing the spiritual and moral tragedies of the protagonists. Replacement of the eternal human values by the pursuit of profits and material achievements has deprived people of spiritual ideals. Honor, duty, patriotism, faith in God, respect for elders are replaced by dishonesty, vanity, immorality, trample of holy truths, and wastefulness in the pursuit of wealth. An unbreakable wall of misunderstanding and denial has appeared between the moral and immoral epochs. The idea of the compared works is not only to show this gap and its depth. The authors' position is clear - they cannot accept what is happening, and by their works they try to encourage the young generation to look back into the past. The objective of this article is to denote the concept of confrontation of epochs in the story by V.V. Kilyakov and to draw a parallel with the work by V.G. Rasputin in the context of spiritual and moral contradictions of villages and cities.
