Abstract

During the revolutionary period and after the founding of New China, there were many literary records, museum displays, film and television works, paintings and images that depicted female heroes, showing the complex connection between female power and the Chinese revolution. In the modern era of rapid social development and information flow, visual expressions can convey the inner meanings and concepts more quickly than traditional written records, audio and video works or historical museums. In order to complete the contemporary transformation of the revolutionary spirit of women, the historical spirit of revolutionary warfare is brought into line with the new era of today, inspiring the youth of today to pursue their ideals and dedicate themselves to building a new society. The thesis documents an attempt to transform the revolutionary spirit of women into a contemporary one by analyzing and selecting representative revolutionary women and using graphic software to combine artistic images, using wood panel carving effects and oil painting texture simulation to create, together with geometric graphic design, a secondary artistic creation with storytelling.
