Abstract

Eosinophilic granuloma is one of the complex of Langerhans cell histiocytosis which was previously known as ”Histiocytosis X”. It is represented by unifocal or multifocal osteolytic lesion that occurs in flat bone of children and young adults, especially in males. It is a rare disorder but benign in nature with favorable prognosis. This paper described a 5 year old boy with supraorbital rim eosinophilic granuloma who treated with excision and local low dose postoperative radiotherapy. The retrospective study of 5 cases of Mackay Memorial Hospital from 1988 to 1995 was also reviewed.
