Abstract

The higher order crack-tip fields for the interfacial crack between functionally graded material(FGM) and homogeneous material cylindrical shells are presented. The crack is oriented in circumferential direction. The material properties of FGMs are assumed to be exponential functions with their gradient direction perpendicular to the interface. Base on Reissner theory, the governing equations are derived for weak-discontinuous problems of cylindrical shells. By using the eigen-expansion method, the high order crack tip fields are obtained.
