Abstract

Recent experimental results on CP violation in the B sector from experiments at asymmetric e + e − B-factories, are summarized in these lectures. The BaBar and BELLE experiments results for time dependent CP asymmetry are in good agreement with each other. The similar measurements for penguin dominated B meson decays may indicate the contribution from physics beyond Standard Model (SM). The first meaningful measurements of φ2 and φ3 angles of Cabibbo–Kobayashi–Maskawa (CKM) unitarity triangle (UT) are presented. The constraint on the position of the apex of the UT, obtained from these measurements allows a test of the CKM interpretation of CP violation in the SM.
