Abstract

About a year after its initial outbreak, the first wave of COVID-19 is gradually decelerating in many countries including India. The new cases being reported daily are falling and the number of people recovering from the deadly virus is increasing. Epidemiologists have warned that this slowdown may only be a transient trap that will eventually enter into more cumbersome 2nd and 3rd waves. In many places in India, we have actually started seeing that happen, as it also seems to be doing, in many other countries. This momentary relief in the current wave gives us a brief opportunity to introspect and review how fairly we have dealt with the situation from the perspectives of Ayurveda, and to preject the prospects of Ayurveda in post COVID era.
