Abstract

Objective: We examined the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on social welfare in various parts of the world. Methods: We employed a scoping review to analyze the impact of COVID-19 on social welfare at various stages of the pandemic and the corresponding governmental interventions. Results: We identified special attention to non-classical methods of virus control, such as the use of high technology, telemedicine, and special software to track the spread of the virus and inform the state of its main trends. Conclusions: Increasing the level of public welfare requires identifying areas to overcome the global crisis. These areas involve healthcare, ensuring an elevated level of social protection, combating unemployment and the decline of entrepreneurship (especially small and medium-sized), fostering greater interstate cooperation through the promotion of humanitarian aid, and developing interstate programs to combat the virus.
