Abstract

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to provide basic data to reduce the difficulties caused by COVID-19 in college students.
Methods: This study was conducted for about 2 months, beginning in July 2021, and linear regression analysis was conducted to identify the factors affecting the difficulties experienced by college students due to COVID-19.
Results: The difficulties caused by COVID-19 were the fewest in the medical and health sectors, followed by the humanities and social sciences and others (p<0.05). As the student grade increased, the difficulty with COVID-19 increased by 1.092, and in the humanities and sociology and other departments, the difficulty with COVID-19 increased by 1.108, based on the medical and health departments (p<0.05).
Conclusions: The results obtained here suggest that each university should implement special education programs, such as career aptitude programs, to help students cope with the difficulties they encountered due to COVID-19
