Abstract
The purpose of the study is to raise the need for research on how the risk of disease called COVID-19 affects tourists’ behavior. Therefore, this study aims to understand the vision and direction of the development of healing tourist destinations in the era of COVID-19 by analyzing the effect and relationship of tourists’ perception of disease risk on the motivation, satisfaction, and happiness of visiting healing tourist destinations. The survey distributed 400 questionnaires to six regions in Gangwon-do, where wellness tourist attractions recommended by the Korea Tourism Organization are located, and analyzed 363 questionnaires. The survey was conducted simultaneously in six regions of Gangwon-do for two months from November 1, 2021. Frequency Analysis, Correlation Analysis, Factor Analysis, Reliability Analysis, and Multiple Regression Analysis were performed using SPSS Window Version 21.0. The end of COVID-19 is vague and it is necessary to find a strategy to lead the competitiveness of local tourism and changes in tourism patterns in the New Normal era by linking the importance and demand for health and healing as an opportunity factor for early recovery of the tourism market.
