Abstract
The cover picture shows generation of nano/microscale paramagnetic solid structures from a doublet spin state nitronyl nitroxide radical derivative by using a bottom-up self-assembly technique and their electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy studies as described by R. Chandrasekar and P. Hui in their Communication on page 1062 ff. In the background, the University of Hyderabad Lake represents the involvement of environment friendly water in the self-assembly process. At room temperature the evaporation of an acetonitrile solution of radical forms a porous film at a SiO2 surface, and in acetonitrile/water it forms solution stable nanovesicles, which shape-shift into metastable crystalline nanoparticles upon ultrasonication and after a month they revert back into vesicles.
