Abstract

AbstractSpecial Issue: Biogas. In view of the challenges of global warming, biogas has been recognized as an alternative regenerative energy source that can reduce greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuels. Last year Biogas Science 2009 (Dezember 2009 in Erding, Germany) brought together scientists from all over the world to identify the current state of the art and define the pressing tasks for further biogas research. This issue of Engineering in Life Sciences features key papers exploring the latest development in biogas science.
