Abstract
The cover image designed by Jérôme Vachon shows on the left side the generation of kraft lignin from Eucalyptus wood and on the right side, the use of post-consumer recycled plastic to generate a PE resin. When blended together in the presence of a compatibilizer, the co-extruded resin can provide an agriculture mulching film with additional features. The presence of a compatibilizer enhances the antioxidant, antibacterial, and photo-permeability properties of the material conferred by the lignin. DOI: 10.1002/app.53695
