Abstract

The empirical study assessed the association between counsellors’ prevention strategies and Occurrence of Bullying in Masafi-Fujairah schools in United Arab Emirates (UAE). The researcher used a case study research design with a qualitative paradigm to systematically conduct a plausible research study. A sample of 8 respondents was carefully engaged to supply information for the research study. The population of the study was only school counsellors in UAE in Public schools. Information was congregated by means of interview plans and documentary analysis. The researcher used purposive sampling strategy to garner information from vital persons who could supply useful data for the study. The researcher used highly structured interviews to gather data for the empirical study. Thematic analysis was utilized for analyzing qualitative proof. The study results came up with a significant correlation between counsellors’ prevention strategies and Occurrence of Bullying in Masafi-Fujairah schools. The research project concluded that Counsellor’s strategies may contribute to occurrence of Bullying in Masafi-Fujairah because if the prevention strategies of counsellors are not scientific, they can allow bullying to take place in schools with its disastrous effects among vulnerable students. If the counsellors’ prevention strategies are logical and scientific, they can be a source of good school reputation and a good marketing instrument to increase enrolment in schools because of the acceptable discipline behavior exhibited on the whole. From the project findings, the scholar recommended that the School administrators should always organize seminars and workshops for school counsellors in order to allow them acquire knowledge and skills for helping students live in a healthy and peaceful environment for growth and development in UAE.
