Abstract

A Coulomb blockade of two quantum dots in series has been investigated. Despite the two dots being connected by tunneling barrier, no electrostatic interaction is observed in the conductance. This result is consistent with numerical calculations performed by using experimental parameters. The interaction is reduced in a system where the ratio of inter-dot capacitance and the total capacitance is small.
