Abstract

Abstract In June 1969 Malathion and Dursban were applied with a tractor-mounted ultra low volume sprayer to cottonwoods that had been planted as cuttings the preceeding February. Plots were single, randomly selected rows in the 400-ha planting on Choctaw Island, Arkansas City, Ark. Tree spacing was 3.75 x 3.75 m, and the soil was Robinsonville sandy Loam. C. scripta populations were counted on June 15, before spraying, and again on June 17 and 19, 24 and 72 hours after spraying.
