Abstract

Abstract Stoneville 213 cotton was planted on Apr 18 at the Tennessee Valley Substation of Auburn University at Belle Mina, AL. Each plot was ca 1 acre and arranged in a randomized complete block design replicated 4 times. Test chemicals were applied to all plots with a high clearance sprayer on Jul 15 at a rate of ca 10 gpa and 40 psi with 3 nozzles/row. Data were collected by the “beat sheet” method. The 1st post-treatment sample consisted of 6 row ft at 2 locations per plot. All samples were taken in the center of each plot. Insects were field identified and verified in this laboratory.
