Abstract

A system of radiation and nonrelativistic particles is studied from a thermodynamical point of view. The transfer of perturbed energy density from the radiation to the matter component is described explicitly for adiabatic perturbations inside the particle horizon. For thermal perturbations the fluctuations of the radiation energy density vanish, but the corresponding temperature fluctuations are different from zero.
