Abstract

We investigate the anisotropic Locally Rotationally Symmetric (LRS) Bianchi type-I metric with dark energy in modified f(R, T) theory of gravity, where R is the Ricci scalar and T is the trace of stress energy momentum tensor. With the particular form of the functional f(R,T)=f1(R)+f2(T), to get the solution of this model, we have assumed a condition A=Bm between two metric potential A and B, where m is a real constant. It is shown that the cosmological constant Λ is positive and decaying as Λ∝1t2. The model is also accelerating with super-exponential expansion as the deceleration parameter q<−1. It is also observed that the values of matter-energy density Ωm and dark-energy density ΩΛ are in good agreement with 5-years WMAP observations. We have also discussed the physical and geometrical behaviors of these models.
