Abstract

It has lately become evident that the galactic radio emission cannot basically be explained by thermal emission from interstellar electrons, as has been previously suggested (e.g., see the review paper by Unsold [1]). Thus, it is particularly worthwhile considering the idea that the galactic radio emission is due to bremsstrahlung of relativistic electrons (i.e., of the electron component of the cosmic radiation) in interstellar and circumstellar magnetic fields [2, 3].
