The flounder from two domestic farms of Western Japan were found parasitized with Kudoa septempunctata. These two lots of flounder were moved to the isolated aquaria A and B, respectively. These fish were aquaculture-raised under physical containment and provided to the authors from the Institute. The parasitized fish were used only for research purposes and never shipped as food.
