* Received in the Editorial Office on November 27, 1936. 1 This report presents a minor phase of a study of Reading Readiness and Reading Progress in the Primary Grades of the Horace Mann School, Teachers College, New York, 1933–36. This study has been made possible by the cooperation of Miss Agnes Burke, Teacher of Grade I and other teachers of the Kindergarten and Primary Grades.
