Abstract
The paper deals with the correlation between the world around us and the Serbian language in classrooms. Correlation of teaching these subjects is regarded as one of the possibilities of modernization of education in our schools and to overcome the defects of traditional class-system of teaching. In considering the question of the correlation of the teaching process, the starting point of stating the basic meaning of the term, as well as the structure of education of the world around us and the Serbian language in the first grade of primary school. Special attention is given to correlate educational content of these items, as shown in the model treatment of the theme I and others in the first grade of primary school.
